Walter William WARNES

Walter William WARNES, an agricultural farm servant, of The Kennels, Weeting, aged 19y 2 months, joined the Norfolk regiment on 11th Nov 1914

Posted to the 10th batallion, he was a member of B Company. His record states that he did not serve with the BEF and he was dicharged as "No longer physically fit for war service on medical grounds" due to arthritis on 11th November 1916.

On 17th February 1917 he wrote asking for his "Badge for Discharged Soldiers". His entitlement to the Silver War Badge was confrimed on the 21st of that month.
